The Knight of Roses, Man without a Country, Supporter of Rebels, Leader of Soldiers

The Knight of Roses, Man without a Country, Supporter of Rebels, Leader of Soldiers

Quote: With honor, sword and spear, we will see this land freed!
War is a terrible thing.  We must do what we can to protect the people.  We will be their shield in this time of need.

Description: The Knight of Roses age is indeterminate, somewhere between and thirty and fifty, he is a man that has seen and survived much.  His dark blond hair is graying and worn short, usually he is clean-shaven but he will adapt to the local style.   His eyes are a pale gray and oft seem to bear a great sadness.  He has a warrior’s build and no lack of scars but nothing disfiguring (so far).  He moves like a fighter, aware of his surrounding and prepared to act, not nervous but ready. Playing the Long Game – Near Immortal Villains

Playing the Long Game
Near Immortal Villains

If you had all the time in the world, what would you do?  What could you do?  Near immortal villains are a staple of RPGs (and their source material) ancient gods, elder dragons, lich-kings, immortal superbeings, ages-old vampires . . . the list goes on and on.  But what would you do with all that time?  Traditionally, create intricate plots that mature over the centuries, just in time for the heroes to interrupt them at the last moment.

Secrets of Taren Kost – Interlude 1

We only ended up with a short time to play after catching up and having a delightful meal of homemade enchiladas (with Krispy Kream donuts for dessert, how very Southern).  So, it ended up being more of a staging post between adventures:

Interlude 1: Dresses, Dances and Hawks

Interesting Thoughts from Other Gamers (5)

14 November, 2009

Been a while since I have shared some of the fun things I have encountered as a member of the RPG Bloggers Network.

Adapting the excellent dungeon geomorphs from Dysan Logos,  Rob Lang (of the Free RPG Blog) has coded a random dungeon generator!  Try it out, it is brilliant.

Destination Unknown has been slowly rebuilding the early archives of his ‘zine, Scrollworks, which is still ongoing!  Take a look.

For interesting and amusing monster and other things for classic D&D, check out a Hamsterish Horde.  I especially liked the Heartbriar and may adapt it at some point.

Tenletter always has interesting stuff and they have been playing around with Pathfinder a lot lately.  Their writeup on Alternate Cleric class abilities (domain channeling) I find especially intriguing.

Well, that is all for now.  Have a good weekend all.
