Tuesday Magic Item – Generous Gingerbread

Gollaon inhaled deeply.  “What a delightful aroma.”

Voddick nodded in agreement.  “Once again. Mother Sugarfoot has outdone herself.  I hope that we are negotiating with will appreciate this offering in the spirit it is intended.”

“That is so,” agreed Voddick.

Generous Gingerbread

This gingerbread is moist and delicious and the aroma is amazing.  It is designed as a gift to bring people together.

Tuesday Magic Item – Cook’s Cornucopia

Gollaon accepted the bag from the baker.  “We will make sure it makes it safe to the orphanage, Madam Sugarfoot.”

“See that you do,” she said with a wink.  “They need it more than scruffy rogues like you.”

“You wound me!” said Gollaon with an exaggerated gesture.

Voddick shook his head and smiled.  “Thank you again for your kindness.”

“We were all children once,” said the baker.

Cook’s Cornucopia

These cornucopias are woven from straw with great care and often with decorations honoring the harvest and powers thereof.  They are quite large but still moveable by a single person.

Tuesday Magic Item – Helpful Honey

“Kind of the beekeeper to give us some of his honey,” said Voddick tucking away the jar of honey.

“We help protect the hives, the product of the hives helps to protect us, it seems a virtuous cycle,” said Gollaon with a smile.

“I like that, seems . . . complete.”

“Sometimes the things we do work out.”

Helpful Honey

This honey is a beautiful golden hue but sometimes, if you catch it just right in the light, it has a rainbow sheen.  It must be kept in clear glass, stored in any other sort of container, it just vanishes.  The honey’s magic comes from the types of bees that make it and the types of flowers they gather pollen from, usually, one or both are from the fae worlds.

A to Z – Fantastic Foods of the Sea of Stars

The Sundering and the release of strange magics in the aftermath of the Gods War has produced many odd things to mix with the many foodstuffs that existed before.  Most anything sort of food that exist here in Earth can be found in the Sea of Stars.  Additionally, there are many stranger and more unusual edibles to be found, such as:

• Eternal apples from the Stone Forest of Vut, while their fruit is grey, and the flesh slightly grainy, they keep indefinitely (or at least for centuries).
• Self-cooking barley from the Sulfur Hills, the grain tossed into water boils the water and cooks itself but it does taste of mildly of sulfur.
• Fish from the Fish Trees of Malabar, packed and salted in barrels.  Their wooden bones can serve as toothpicks.
• Blue honey from the giant sapphire bees of the Karulean mountains.  It is said that the mead brewed from it can provide the ability to fly.
• Rat steaks, and other cuts, harvested from the giant rats of Tikk Most, where there are raised like pigs.  Sadly, the merchants of Tikk Most have not been able to convert rat meat into much of an export commodity.
• Rainbow wheat from the fields of Khelm are extremely colorful, though it takes considerable work to sort the grains by color.  Chickens, or other foul, fed the grain produce eggs with shells of the same color.
• The glowing shrimp netted in the waters off the Pearl Cities, cooking in the proper spices will adjust the color of the glow from yellow to orange, pink or even lavender, the most difficult color to obtain.

Tuesday Magic Item – Mother Sugarfoot’s Infinite Sandwich Knife

It never mattered how many friends Da brought home, Ma was always able to whip up a fine spread of sandwiches for them lickety-split.  Even when we were down to our last loaf, there was enough for everyone.  I loved my Ma and she swore by Gran’s kitchen knife as the best thing anyone who cooked could want.
