
Tuesday Magic Item – Sun-Blessed Diadem

Sun-Blessed Diadem
These diadem are made for the highest priests among the followers of the Sun. Made of gold, often decorated or bejeweled as fits the personality of the person it was made for (and the pockets of those commissioning it). It is a potent symbol of status.
The diadem glows with the blessing of the Sun, creating the effect of a continual flame, the light can be dimmed to that of a candle but no further. This light is inimical to the unliving and unbound, the wearer gaining a +4 deflection bonus to armor class against attacks from and a +4 sacred bonus to saves to resist the powers there of.
The wearer gains a fraction of the charm of the Sun God, gaining a +5 competence bonus on Diplomacy checks.
Lastly, the powers of the Sun boost the wearer’s spell casting of spells with light or sun in their title or effects. are cast as though the wearer was one level higher (and, due to the Sun’s secret hatred of the dragons, this is doubled when such a spell is turned again a dragon).
