New Magic Item – Equinox Bracers

Voddick checked his weapons and adjusted his armor.  “Well, it will be an interesting challenge.”

Gollaon finished polishing his knife and slipped it into its sheath.  “Truth.  It is not often we are asked to assist a champion.”

“Though I am not exactly certain what were are assisting them in fighting,” Voddick said as he set a bolt in his crossbow.

“Given the pay and the equipment provided, something unpleasant.”

“Well, nothing new there.”

“And it should be a good story for caging drinks from people,” said Gollaon, clasping his friends shoulder.

Equinox Bracers

These bracers are made of silver and inlaid in white and black materials forming contrasting but balanced patterns.  They remain clean and visible even in the worst conditions.

These bracers surround the wearer with protective field of force, granting an armor bonus of +5, this bonus applies against incorporeal and touch attacks.  Both bracers must be worn for the magic to be effective.

But the greater power is that the wearer gains is Resistance 15 + their level to an energy type but they gain vulnerability to the opposing energy type.  Use this to determine resistance/vulnerability pairs:

• Acid opposes Electricity or Sonic
• Cold opposes Fire
• Negative Energy opposes Positive Energy

The energy type may be chosen at dawn or it will automatically set the first time in a day the wearer takes energy damage.

On the Equinox, the armor bonus is raised to +7 and the chosen energy type and its opposites are both protected against, their is no vulnerability.

While wearing these bracers, you gain a +2 bonus to AC if you are wearing no armor and using no shield.
