Sistrum of Dramatic Action

These metal and wood instruments are when shaken in short, sharp, rhythmic pulses is often used to arouse movement and activity.

In the hands of a skilled percussionist, it produces wonderfully sharp music that inspires others.  Played by a character with Perform (percussion) at two ranks or higher, they gain a +4 competence bonus on their Perform (percussion) check and give all allies within 30′ a +4 competence bonus to Perform (dance) check when performing dramatic and active dances and to Tumble checks.

Additionally, if it is being played at the start of combat, the performer and any allies within 30′ may either gain a +1 bonus to initiative or use their Charisma instead of their Dexterity bonus for initiative whichever is more favorable.

You must be proficient with percussion instruments to use these. While you are attuned to the sistrum, you gain advantage when performing with them and grant advantage to any ally within 30′ who is performing an active and dramatic dance or using Athletics to jump or Acrobatics to perform stunts.
