New Monster Template – Bloodmade

Template: Bloodmade (CR +0 or +1)

Creatures with the Bloodmade template are created through the blood summoning spell, their origin is unknown but they look like normals animals -albeit with red or rusty brown coloration- except for their eyes which seem to be pools of blood. When killed they dissolve into a pool of blood before vanishing.  Only animals can be subject to the Bloodmade template.

A Bloodmade creature’s CR increases by +1 only if the base creature has 5 or more HD.

A Bloodmade creature’s quick and rebuild rules are the same.

Senses gains darkvision 60 ft. and scent

Defensive Abilities gains damage reduction and energy resistance as noted on the table.

Special Attacks
All One Blood (Ex)
Bloodmade creatures (from the same source) have an instinct for cooperation and innately cooperate to their best of their abilities.  When adjacent to their summoner or another Bloodmade, they gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Armor Class and when two of more Bloodmade creature attack the same target, they gain a +1 circumstance bonus to attack rolls.

Blood Anger (Ex)
Bloodmade creature gains a +2 morale bonus to damage rolls, Fortitude and Will saves when they have taken damage equal to half their hit points or more.

Special Quality
Guard the Source (Ex)
Bloodmade creatures will attempt to guard their creator if not given other instructions.  When a single Bloodmade of size large or two or more of size medium or smaller are adjacent to their creator, she gains a +1 circumstance bonus to Armor Class and the Bloodmade can made a single attack of opportunity each round against anyone who attacks their creator when they could have attacked the Bloodmade.

Notes: To go with today’s magic item.  Though they can be used interdependently as well, of course.
