Tuesday Magic Item – Miles’ Ration Box

Eat up!The soldiers did not much care for the shape of the new ration boxes, but they did appreciate their durability and the guarantee that their food would at least be edible, if not anything they wanted to eat, when they got to their rations.  The priests and priestess of the Soldier’s God insured that the legions are well-equipped with the ration boxes and slowly they slipped into public use as well.  Though the military still claims ownership of them all, so be careful who see you with one.

Miles’ Ration Box

These metal boxes measure roughly 12″ x 6″ x 4″ (30.5 x 15.2 x 10.1cm) and are stamped with the symbol of the Soldier’s God and the military for whom it was constructed on the interior of the lid.  The exterior is undecorated, at least when they are made, individual owners often engrave or paint the surface to make it uniquely theirs.
