Welcome July, Goodbye June

1 July, 2011

Welcome Summer (at least in the Northern hemisphere) though things have been brutally hot here since mid-May.   July was named after that all around interesting Roman, Julius Caesar in the re-formalization of the Roman Calendar creating the Julian Calender (which, as you no doubt guessed, is named for him too).  So, in honor of Caesar, we shall be looking at governments, organization and people of ambition in the Sea of Stars.  As usual, if there is a particular subject you would like to know more about or see more of, please let me know.

Looking back over June, which was the second anniversary of this Journal, it was a fairly light month for posting but did see the following:

False Prophecy and Hoaxes in RPGs, why do you think that legend is real?

Henotheism, Kathenothism and Polytheism, looking at different sorts of worship of gods.

Random Demon Name Generator, Least and Lesser, which seems to do what is on the tin.

New Magic Items:

Blessed Soil of the Green Mother, to help things grow.

Sipahi’s Scimitar, for the cavalryman to cut down infantry with.

Spear of the Summer Solstice, charged with the power of the Summer Sun.

Stone Axe of Blasphemy, it is evil, really.

Campaign Reports:

LA Stars (Mutants & Masterminds 1960s), Vol 2, Issue 8 Black Sun Rising and  Special Story Dis-UNITY.

Dr. Monkey, MD, and the Gonzo Roadtrip.

Complete Advanced Feats (for Pathfinder).

Genius Guide to: Feats of Runic Might II.

Might of the Magus, Advanced Feats.

Secrets of the Magus.

X-Men: First Class (movie).

Wandering the Web (10), things that caught my interest.
