Tuesday Magic Item – Spectral Feast
24 August, 2010Ivek opened the sealed ceramic container. “Uk, I would not eat this.”
“Luckily, you do not have to,” snapped Volosh the Blue, “it is for the ghost. Hope that he likes the smell.”
Spectral Feast
These are simple meals enhanced with rare and secret spices, kept sealed in ceramic jars warded with protective and preserving charms.
When opened, the smell of the food is nearly irresistible to incorporeal undead.
If one passes within 30′, they must make a Will save (DC 18) to resist being drawn to consume the food. The undead can fully consume the food in one round, during which it is treated as being dazed. After eating the feast, the undead must make a Fortitude save (DC 15) or become corporeal for one round plus one round for each 3 points the save is failed by.
An undead will only desire to eat one spectral feast per day, once it has consumed one it will not be lured by another spectral feast until 24-hours have passed.
