25 September, 2009

“Would you betray me with a kiss?”

Judith’s Kiss
Necromancy [Curse, Evil]
Level: Clr 1, Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S, F or DF
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Effect: 1 weapon and 1 person
Duration: 1d4 minutes + 1 minute/level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: None

Judith’s Kiss enchants one person and one weapon giving the receiver of the spell the ability to sneak attack with that weapon as rogue of equal level (or hit dice) as the recipient of the spell or the caster’s level whichever is lower.  If the receiver of the spell already has the ability to sneak attack, they gain an additional +1 profane bonus to attack and damage when using the enspelled weapon in a sneak attack.

The focus for the wizards’ version of the spell is a silver coin and for the priests’ version their holy symbol, neither is consumed in the casting.

Notes: Designed for that time when the villain sends his agent to kill one of the characters or an important contact.

For D&D 3.x, this spell can also be added to the Assassin and Blackguard lists at 1st level,
