From Far Cathy comes a useful weapon for the traveler:
Battle Staff
Favored as symbols of authority by members of the House of Dawn and Magistrates. It is a heavy half meter long metal rod, sometimes engraved. However, by triggering a set of hidden studs (move equivalent action) it telescopes out to a full two meter length, perfectly balanced for combat. By reverse the sequence (move equivalent action) it can be returned to its rod state.
