Paidia’s Dice – New Magic Item / A to Z Blogging Challenge [P]
April 19, 2011The venturers of Lucky’s Seven, though they often numbered fewer than seven depending on their fortune, come through town once or twice a year, spending money, playing games, and generally being a mobile party for the few days they are here.
Now, while many venturers are stand-offish and superior, Lucky’s boys and girls are friendly and treat us with respect. They are happy to cast dice with us and do not complain if they lose. If all venturers were like them, they would be more welcome in general.
Paidia’s Dice
These dice appear simply as dice, the only thing notable about them is that they are always clear and they never seem to chip no matter what sort of surface they are rolled upon.
The owner of the dice gains a +3 competence bonus to Bluff and Diplomacy checks made to convince people to join a game or to make friends. Additionally, anyone who plays an entire game through using Paidia’s Dice, gains a +1 luck bonus to their next save or skill check.
Anyone trying to cheat in a game involving Paidia’s Dice must make a Will save (DC 18) or be compelled to leave the game before they can. This is because anyone trying to cheat around these dice suffers a -5 luck penalty on all appropriate skill checks.

the anti-cheat penalty seems in keeping with the deity.
I am all for Luck!
The conditional modifier (you have to play an entire game) was a nice touch.
Very clever!
