The comforting glow of these lamps in well known and often foundly remembered by those who have experienced it.
Eos’ Lamp
These delicately crafted lamps are usually made of polished bronze often gilded of inlaid with gold. They often are marked with a diadem or have a horse on either side (sometime marked with the names Lampos and Phaithon), rarely the handle is made of carved ruby quartz.
The lantern provides light equal to that of a daylight spell upon speaking a short prayer (standard action) to the goddess, the light ends at dawn but maybe summoned again at that time.
If the bearer wishes, they may call upon Eos (standard) to give the lamp her full blessing, for 1d4 rounds, the light of the lamp is treated as actual daylight and the bearer must make a Fortitude save (DC 18) each round or be blinded for the next 24-hours. At the end of that time the lamp will not be able to be used again for a month or until it is ritual blessed by a priestess of Eos.
