Tuesday Magic Item – Girdle of the Virgin Knight
March 8, 2011
Inspired by a noble -in all sense of the word- princess, slowly a new order of knights took shape in the kingdom. Daughters who would swear themselves to their country’s service, to be chaste and pure as long as the kingdom was threatened by the forces of evil and corruption. They would serve as a beacon of light against the darkness, risking all to guard their country and their faith.
Girdle of the Virgin Knight
It is said the first of these suit of exquisite plate armor were made for the daughter of a king who swore to remain pure and under arms until the kingdom was safe. The armor is polished to a silver sheen and each is etched with a unique design for its original wearer.
The Girdle of the Virgin Knight is +1 mithral full plate that when worn by a woman of pure morals and dedication to a greater cause, religious or secular, the wearer gains damage reduction equal to the lower of their Wisdom or Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) and when the wearer falls below half their hit points, the armor glows and radiates a prayer effect at the wearers level of effect (once a day). When dealing with knights, nobles and those who respect the holy orders, the wearer gains a +2 bonus to Diplomacy checks.
