There is some dispute over the origin of these items, while the first of them were made by the dwarves but there is an argument over if the dwarves invented them or the Mountaineers of Alkava provided the inspiration. In any case, they appear as rugged climbing picks with a steel reinforced haft and a wrist loop of stout, braided leather.
