Tuesday Magic Item - Mother Sugarfoot's Infinite Sandwich Knife

It never mattered how many friends Da brought home, Ma was always able to whip up a fine spread of sandwiches for them lickety-split.  Even when we were down to our last loaf, there was enough for everyone.  I loved my Ma and she swore by Gran’s kitchen knife as the best thing anyone who cooked could want.

These always appear as a well worn kitchen knife with a handle that fits comfortably in a cooks hand.

Making sandwiches

When used to make sandwiches, each slice of bread cut is doubled as is anything cut for the sandwiches or spread upon them.  Stale bread is made fresh and foods cut for the sandwiches on the edge of spoiling is made edible.  It works for up to four hours worth of food preparation a day.

The knife is useless as a weapon (-2 to attack, 1d2 damage) unless used in defense of one’s family (when it is treated as a masterwork dagger).
